One More Time

Artist Statement
In my larger pieces, I often use elements that already exist in my body of work to explore a new direction. The shape of the elements of One More Time are taken from the back cuts of a much smaller wall piece called, Resurrection. When I enlarge elements to create a freestanding piece, the process of composing the piece is very organic, less methodical. Each piece dictates the placement of the next. In this case the result was a wider, more asymmetrical footprint than I have created previously. It’s always an expansion of my work’s vocabulary.
