The Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation presents an intimate evening of storytelling with David Best, an internationally renowned sculptor. David is well known for building elaborate and immense temples, which are made from wood and then burned on the last night of Burning Man as an emotional and spiritual release.
One project, the Temple of Remembrance, is created entirely of steel and was fabricated in Geyserville on the Voigt property as part of the Artist Residency program. The Temple is located permanently in the meadow at Paradise Ridge Winery; it is near and dear to many hearts.
David is an incredibly entertaining storyteller who cultivates good laughs, encouraging emotionally insightful conversation, and it will be an honor and privilege to share this evening with you. We will also get a sneak peek into David’s upcoming project for the Smithsonian Renwick Gallery, a.k.a. “The Castle”.
Ticket price includes local Sonoma County wine and hors d’oeuvres provided by WOW.
